If you have an account on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you probably see, almost every day, pictures of people almost naked.
More and more people, influencers or not, post pictures of them in swimsuit or underwear. Most of the time, their purpose is only to show their bodies. This phenomenon can be perceived in different ways.
On the one hand, being confident and being proud of our bodies is not something we can blame. However, on the other hand, we know that most of these pictures are modified. Indeed, they slim their legs and stomachs, swell their breasts or define their abs.
Thus, they promote a fake image of their bodies. And this tends to create more and more complexes. New laws, in France for example, force magazines advertisers to precise if a picture has been modified.
Indeed, we all know that models whether they are on podiums or in magazines, are very skinny and have to be, but this is not every bodies' morphology. People actually know that the images we see of other people create complexes.
Not only to young people but to everyone. It seems like we are overwhelmed with all of these pictures. It also seems to be a very narcissistic practice, the people posting these kinds of pictures want to be admired and loved. This also generates a problem of voyeurism, we intrude more and more deeply into the privacy of the people we follow on social media.
Besides, we know that what you post on internet doesn't belong to you anymore an can used by anyone. The question is, can we regulate it on social media? Our personal profiles can't be regulated by laws about what we can post or not. It is our own responsibility.

Thanks for your comment Elena :p Great hashtag you found there :p
You're right Andrea, women shall do what they want with their image, but some precautions should be taken !
Hello Agathe ! It's true that the barrier is extremely hard to define, it's a sensible subject and the answer is hard to find !
That's a really good question Zelda ! Personally, I believe there is a difference between our pictures that we post on social media and art ! It's the intention that counts :p
